Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is currently working for ‘Thandel’, which has Fidaa and Premam dame Sai Pallavi as the leading lady. The upcoming action and romantic drama Thandel is directed by Chandoo Mondeti. The movie marks Akkineni Naga Chaitanya’s third collaboration with the film director Chandoo Mondeti, after Premam (2016) and Savyasachi (2018).

The duo – Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi earlier worked together for the hit movie ‘Love Story’ which was released in 2021. Thandel is presented by mega producer Allu Aravind and bankrolled by Bunny Vasu.
The sources say that Thandel is based on true events and deals with the fishermen who find themselves arrested by Pakistan. To prepare for the role, Naga Chaitanya and Chandoo Mondeti visited K Matchilesam village in Srikakulam last year.
The reports are coming that the makers of Thandel are planning to release the movie in the month of October 2024, coinciding with the auspicious Dussehra festival.
