RTC MD, IPS officer Sajjanar appealed on Twitter that Bollywood actors should not advertise on behalf of fraudulent chain organizations. It has been advised that no celebrities apart from movie actors should advertise to multi level marketing companies.

Sajjanar tweeted tagging  Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan as famous Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan promoted Amway. Sajjanar said that “fraudulent organizations are ruining the country’s economy and making money by cheating innocent people. Sajjanar suggested that celebrities should not promote or support such organizations.

Sajjanar  wrote on the wall of Twitter: I humbly request the Super Star Amitabh and other celebrities not to collaborate with fraud companies like Amway which destroys the fiscal system of the country & well knitted social fabric of the society. @SrBachchan

Earlier, Sajjanar responded on Twitter about the promotion of tennis player Sania Mirza for the multi-level marketing company ‘Qnet’. During Sajjanar’s tenure as Hyderabad CP, action was taken against many multi-level marketing companies. In 2022, ED found that Amway was committing fraud in the name of chain business and confiscated the assets. During Sajjanar’s tenure, cases were registered against the masterminds of several multi-level marketing companies including Pearls and Qnet. Sajjanar also tweeted at a time when 6call center employees died in a fire at the Qnet office.
