In Telugu film Industry, Samantha Akkineni was last seen playing the female lead in romantic drama Jaanu, the remake of Tamil film 96, in which she shared the screen space with Sharwanand. Recently she made her debut on OTT world with the web drama the Family Man 2. Now according to the latest buzz in the film industry, Samantha Akkineni is all set to play the female lead role in Power Star Pawan Kalyan starrer upcoming untitled film which will be helmed by Harish Shankar.
Pawan Kalyan and Harish Shankar film is tentatively titled PSPK 28. On September 2, 2020, the makers took to Twitter to reveal that Vakeel Saab and Gabbar Singh fame actor will play the lead in director Harish Shankar’s upcoming film, which will mark his 28th project. The makers has released the first look poster of PSPK28.
The sources say that recently Harish Shankar met Samantha and narrated the script, and the actress who was very impressed with her character, gave her green signal but she is yet to sign the project. Now we have to wait and see whether Samantha accepts Pawan Kalyan’ invitation or not.
On the otherside, Samantha Akkineni is currently working with Gunasekhar for an upcoming much hyped movie Shakuntalam in which she is playing the titular role.
