Samantha Akkineni is eagerly waiting for the release of her upcoming much awaited movie 96 remake, where she is playing the female lead and will be seen sharing the screen space with young actor Sharwanand.  The movie 96 remake Janu is  helmed by Prem Kumar who helmed the original version of  Tamil flick 96. Today on the occasion of Prem Kumar’ birthday, Samantha Akkineni took to her twitter to share a still from 96 remake and also sent her birthday wishes to Prem Kumar. Is this Samantha’ look from 96 remake Janu? Is this is true, it means, Samantha has leaked her look from his upcoming drama 96 remake Janu.

Samantha and Sharwanand are reprising Trisha and Vijay Sethupathi‘s role in the Janu  Telugu remake of the Tamil blockbuster 96. Apart from a few post-production works, the movie Janu  is ready to hit the big screens, but producer Dil Raju has not yet announced the film’s release date.  The sources say, the movie was scheduled to release in December, but it has been pushed to February 2020. It  is said that director Prem Kumar had made slight changes to the script of Janu to suit the taste of the Telugu audience.

96 starring Trisha and Vijay Sethupathi, directed by Prem Kumar, turned out to be one of the best Tamil films in 2018. The romantic drama rekindled nostalgia and took the movie lovers on a trip down memory lane.

Samantha and Sharwanand starrer 96 remake Jaan has been shot in Hyderabad, Vishakhapatnam, Maldives and Kenya. It is all about the story of a wild-life photographer, who gets nostalgic after he visits his school in his hometown. During a reunion with his classmates, he meets his childhood crush.

 Samantha was last seen in Oh baby, the remake of Korean movie Miss Granny, directed by Nandini Reddy.
