Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who scored a massive hit with her previous offering- the women centric film Yashoda, is back to continue the success spree with her next project, Shaakuntalam. The epic mythological drama, helmed by Gunasekhar, is one of the much hyped movie of Tollywood. Now according to the latest report, Shaakuntalam has locked its release date by release a new poster.
Coming on the poster, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Dev Mohan are seen holding each other close. They are seen dressed in traditional attire. Samantha looks beautiful in a white ensemble. Her hair adorned with flowers whereas Dev Mohan is seen inorange traditional top, with traditional accessories on.
The pan-Indian movie Shaakuntalam is all set to release in theaters on February 17, 2023. In this manner, Samantha starrer Shaakuntalam will have to compete with Dhanush starrer Sir, HIT fame Vishwak Sen starrer Dhamki, and Kiran Abbavaram starrer Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha at the box office.
Samantha starrer Shaakuntalam was earlier scheduled to release on November 4. However recently the makers announced that the movie will now release in 3D format.
Dev Mohan is playing King Dushyant whereas the big budget drama also has Gautami, Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Aditi Balan, and Ananya Nagalla in the important roles.
Shaakuntalam is produced by Neelima Guna under Gunaa Teamworks whereas it has the music by Mani Sharma.
