Jaanu is an upcoming Telugu movie starring Samanath Akkineni and Sharwanand, which is expected to hit the tethers in the month of February. Jaanu is remake of Tamil drama 96 in which Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan essayed the lead role. Few days ago, the makers of Jaanu released the first look poster that featured Sharwanand with camels in the desert but the first look poster disappointed Samantha Akkineni fans as she was not featured on it. But now the makers have decided to release the Jaanu teaser. Samantha took to her Twitter and made an official announcement that Jaanu teaser will be unveiled tomorrow on 9th January 2020 at 5 pm.
Samantha and Sharwanand starrer Jaanu is being directed by Prem Kumar. Samantha plays Trisha’s role and Sharwanand will be seen in Vijay Sethupathi’s role in this film which has the music by Govind Vasantha. Gouri Kishan is playing the younger version of Samantha Akkineni in the film.
Gouri Kishan who played the younger version of Trisha in 96 received a lot of appreciation from the audience for the portrayal of younger Janu and now she will be seen in Telugu version of Jaanu.
96 is all about the story of a photographer, in his late 30s, who is stuck in the memories of his high-school romance. The film 96 struck a chord with the audience thanks to the strong sense of nostalgia that it managed to evoke in the movie lovers.
