Samantha Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya tied the knot last year on 6th and 7th October in Goa. Their wedding was attended by only their family members and close friends. Recently during the media interaction, as a part of promotional activities of U Turn, Samantha was asked about her first anniversary gift to her loving hubby Akkineni Naga Chaitanya. Samantha replied, their upcoming film will go on the floors on 6th October and it is one of best wedding anniversary gift.
We have already reported that Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Akkineni will be seen together in an upcoming film, which will be helmed by Shiva Nirvana of Ninnu Kori fame. This upcoming untitled film will be the first film for the couple post their wedding.
Samantha and Naga Chaitanya starrer upcoming film is based on sport and this is the first time when Naga Chaitaya will be seen in any sport based drama, and it will be jointly produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi. The movie has been already launched in the month of July in Hyderabad by Akkineni Nagarjuna. Rao Ramesh, Srinivas Avasarala, Posani Krishna Murali, Sathru, and others will be seen in supporting role.
Touted to be a romantic entertainer, Gopi Sundar is on the board to compose the music. It will be the fourth combination of Naga Chaitanya and Samantha.

Currently Naha Chaitanya is waiting for the release of his upcoming family entertainer Sailaja Reddy Alludu, directed by Maruthi Dasari, in which Anu Emmanuel is playing the female lead and Ramya Krishna will be seen in supporting role. Sailaja Reddy Alludu is going to compete with Samantha’s U Turn at the box office, both the movies are arriving at the theaters tomorrow on 13th September. Now we have wait and watch, which movie will win the box office race.
