After delivering some back to back blockbusters with Vijay, director Atlee has moved to Bollywood, and collaborated with Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan for a Pan Indian drama which is titled Lion. The movie has lady superstar Nayanthara as the leading lady. Now the reports are coming that Nayan was not the first choice of Shah Rukh Khan starrer. Atlee had approached Samantha Ruth Prabhu first for the role but the actress said no for Shah Rukh Khan starrer. Later the role fell in the lap of Nayanthara.
There is a strong buzz in the film industry, Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee’s film is based on a bank robbery. Shah Rukh Khan had acquired the India rights of a famous web series that deals with bank robbery, and his upcoming Hindi film with Atlee is said to be a plot comparable to it.
Now we have to wait and see whether it’s a true fact or the team surprises us by coming up with a different story. The upcoming film also has National award winning actress Priyamani, Sunil Grover, Sanya Malhotra, and Yogi Babu in the crucial roles.
Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Aanand L. Rai’s film Zero co starring Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif whereas Samantha was last seen in the web drama The Family Man 2.
