Shaakuntalam, the love story of Shakuntala and Dusyant, is going to release on 14th of this month. Samantha shared many interesting things with the Mumbai media about this movie directed by Gunasekhar. Samantha talked about the epic love story. Majili actress said, “Acting as a princess in the movie Shaakunthalam felt very happy and special. I am very happy to do that role so perfectly.”
She added, “When the story of Shaakunthalam came to me, I thought a lot, I was a bit scared. But, over the years, I have become accustomed to accepting challenges. The makers have a lot of faith in the script. Girls, women and families will surely enjoy it. I have enjoyed being an audience while acting in this role. This is not a simple story to tell. There is love in it. There is deception. There are many emotions beyond that. This is a complex story written many centuries ago. This is a movie that should be watched with the whole family.”
About Gunasekhar, Samantha said, “He writes female oriented stories. Don’t be afraid to take risks. They try to make great stories interestingly revolve around women.”
She added, “People ask me what has changed in my life after becoming a Pan India star. I don’t think my life has changed. I am a star for six hours. After that, my life is very simple. I never expected to reach this point. I am very satisfied with the roles I am playing.”
