Virata Parvam starring Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi is doing decent collections at the box office. On Saturday the makers organized the success meet, which was attended by Mohan Rao, who is the brother of slain former Naxalite Sarala, on whose life the Sai Pallavi and Rana Daggubati movie is based. Mohan Rao expressed happiness over Virata Parvam receiving critical acclaim. Mohan Rao also appreciated the film makers for telling a sincere story.
Sarala’s brother Mohan Rao said, “The incident took place nearly thirty years ago. A reporter asked me that the climax of Virata Parvam was not real. I asked him whether he saw this incident. We too did not know much about it. After watching the movie I understood that my sister loved revolution. We hated Ravi Shankar character ( Rana Daggubati) who was behind the murder of my sister. However, this film Virata Parvam showed a love story between them.”
D Suresh Babu said that his production house has made a movie based on true incidents for the first time ever. He praised director Venu Udugula’s skills. “ About Sai Pallavi, he said that her acting is amazing.” He added that Rana Daggubati wanted to do this film because he wanted a story like this.
