Gunasekhar is a popular director and screenwriter known for his works in Telugu cinema. He has directed films in romance, action, mythological, and historical drama genres. He has won a National Film Award, multiple Nandi Awards, and a Filmfare Award South. Currently he is working for a women centric movie Shaakuntalam which has South diva Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the titular role. The entire shoot of this film, which has Dev Mohan in the lead role, has been completed and currently the film is in the post production stage.
Yesterday evening Gunasekhar took to his Twitter handle and wrote that the director is set out to present everyone with a whimsical tale of love, Shaakuntalam. He added that the film is getting its final touches and he is planning to start the promotional activities of the film. This tweet of Gunasekhar made Samantha’ fans very happy.
Dev Mohan is playing the role of King Dushyant and Allu Arha is playing the role of Prince Bharat in this mythological drama that is produced by Neelima Guna under Gunaa Team Works. Apart from them, the big budget drama also has Mohan Babu, Gautami, Prakash Raj, Aditi Balan, and Ananya Nagalla in the supporting roles.
Gunasekhar also talked out his another project Hiranyakashyapa and clarified that it will be made on a large scale.
