Bollywood top actress Alia Bhatt, who tied the knot with Ranbir Kapoor on 14th April this year, announced on 27th June that she was expecting their first child. After the couple announced their pregnancy, it was speculated that Alia Bhatt was pregnant before she got hitched.

In an interview Shaheen Bhatt said, “I will not speak for Alia Bhatt because that is her own journey. Anything that Alia has dealt with internally is completely her journey. Having said that, you can never really please everybody. There is always going to be the negative comment or two out there. And I think living in public eye, we are all very practiced at knowing what to pay heed to and what not to focus on.”
Shaheen added that the family is excited and nervous about Alia Bhatt’ pregnancy. She added, “Alia Bhatt is the first among us, siblings, who will be welcoming a baby and we are waiting to meet the new member of our family.”
Alia and Shaheen are the daughters ofMahesh Bhatt and actor Soni Razdan. While Alia Bhatt is a Bollywood actress, Shaheen Bhatt is an author, screenplay writer and mental health advocate.
