Shahid Kapoor is now coming up with a sports based movie Jersey which is a remake of Telugu movie of same title in which Natural star Nani played the lead role. Today the makers of Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Jersey’ have announced the revised release date of the film. Jersey is now slated to hit the theatres on 14th April 2022.
Shahid Kapoor himself confirmed the same by sharing this news on twitter handle that read, ‘So so happy to announce that our beloved film #Jersey will be releasing worldwide in theatres on the 14th of April 2022. See you in the theatres.’
Shahid Kapoor starrer Jersey, which was delayed multiple times in the past, will now clash at the box office with the multilingual action drama “KGF: Chapter 2” starring Yash and Srinidhi Shetty which is directed by Prashanth Neel.
Mrunal Thakur is playing the female lead role in this sport based drama which is helmed by Gowtham Tinnanuri, and is produced by South film producers Allu Aravind, Dil Raju and Aman Gill.
The upcoming film is all about the story of a talented but failed cricketer, who decides to return to the field in his late 30s driven by the desire to represent Indian cricket team and fulfill his son’s wish for a jersey as a gift.
