Shakalaka Shankar turns wrestler for Shankar PahilwanShakalaka Shankar, the popular comedian, will soon be seen playing the lead role in his next upcoming film, which has been titled as Shankar Pahilwan. The movie will be helmed by AA Dhanush and will be jointly produced by Abdul Azeem and Mirza Abid Hussain. According to the latest update, the makers are planning to launch the project ‘Shankar Pahilwan’ very soon. It is a sport based drama, which has wrestling backdrop. The sources close to Shakalaka Shankar has confirmed the news the news that  the comedian turned actor will be seen playing wrestler in this film.

Shakalaka Shankar has been the part of several Telugu movies like- B.Tech Babulu, Maya Mall, Ammammagarillu, Soda Goli Soda, but he became popular with romantic comedy entertainer Shambo Shankara, which was released earlier this year. Shambho Shankara is directed by Sreedhar N and jointly produced by Y Ramana Reddy and Suresh Kondeti whereas Sai Kartheek scored music for this movie.

Shakalaka Shankar started his acting career as a supporting actor in 2016 with the movie Seethama Andalu Ramayya Sitralu. He tied the knot with his maternal cousin Parvathi in Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh. And instead of throwing the party for his wedding ceremony, he donated the clothes, books and other stuff to needy students on his wedding. He became popular from the Jabardasth comedy show and made his debut as an actor with  Shambo Shankara. His inspiration is actor turned politician  Pawan Kalyan and his dream is to gift a temple to him.

During the pre release event of Shambo Shankara, Shakalaka Shankar said that power star Power Kalyan was like a God to him whom he worshiped. He also added that Pawan Kalyan’s fans should also come forward and help the hero to become a great political leader as it would benefit the society as a whole.
