#BoycottKFC is currently trending on Twitter. The fast food restaurant chain KFC landed in trouble after the brand’s official Pakistan handle shared a post showing solidarity with Kashmir. The post was shared on Facebook on 5th February. KFC in a social media post said, “Kashmir belongs to Kashmiris.” As soon as this post went viral on the social media, #BoycottKFC and #BoycottPizzaHut trended on Twitter in India with netizens asking state and centre government’s to take serious action against all KFC India outlets. This is not the first time KFC Pakistan has expressed solidarity over the Kashmir. Last year, a similar message was shared on 5th February, 2021.
The post was deleted later but the netizens were quick to express their fury over it. Few comments by the netizens are as follows:
