Baby’s success, She has been busy with the shooting of Telugu remake of Tamil super-hit venture, 96, which is directed by Prem Kumar, who helmed the original version. The remake of 96 has been titled Jaanu, and in this film, Samantha Akkineni is sharing the screen space with Sharwanand. The first look and title of the film have finally been announced finally. The film is titled Jaanu in Telugu. Today morning the production house Sri Venkateshwara production released the first look poster of Samantha and Sharwanand starrer Jaanu.
The original 96 starred Trisha and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead and bowled over both the audience as well as critics. Coming on the first look poster of Jaanu, Sharwanand is seen in a desert with a long line of camels. Sharwanand is seen holding a camera in his hands and bag to his shoulders. He is playing the role of a photographer in Jaanu
Samantha and Sharwanand have already wrapped up their portions in the Telugu remake of 96. Currently, Jaanu is in the post-production stage.
Tamil version of 96 featured Trisha Krishna and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles. in the Telugu version, Samantha and Sharwanand are stepping into the shoes of Trisha and Vijay Sethupathi. It is said that director Prem Kumar had made slight changes to the script to suit the taste of the Telugu audience. The makers of Jaanu are aiming for a Summer release.
Tamil film 96, directed by Prem Kumar, turned out to be one of the best Tamil films in 2018. The romantic drama 96 rekindled nostalgia and took the audience on a trip down memory lane. On the other side, Samantha will also be seen in the web series The Family Man 2.
