Veteran Bollywood actor and Padma Shri awardee Sridevi, who had an illustrious career spanning over four decades, passed away. She was 54. Sridevi, died late in the night reportedly due to cardiac arrest in Dubai.
Here is a shocking coincidence involving the death of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s first wife, Mona Kapoor, whom he divorced to marry Sridevi.
It isn’t a secret that the first female superstar of Bollywood- Sridevi had an affair with Boney Kapoor and she also got pregnant before marriage. She was accused of being a ‘home-breaker’. Sridevi was the best friend of Mona Kapoor . She was staying at Mona and Boney Kapoor’s house and used to consider Boney as her brother . It was then that the affair started and she was soon pregnant with Boney’s child. When Mona Kapoor came to know about it, she was devastated! In 1996, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor tied the knot in temple. Boney left his first wife, Mona and kids, Arjun and Anshula.
Mona Kapoor died of Cancer in March 2012, just two months before the release of her son, Arjun Kapoor’s debut film, ‘Ishaqzaade’. In the same way, Sridevi also died just four months before the release of her elder daughter, Jhanvi Kapoor’s debut film, Dhadak, directed by Shashank Khaitan ,which is scheduled to hit the theaters in July. Now, she will not be able to see her loving daughter Jhanvi on big screen.
