After a long gap, Puri Jaganandh made his comeback with action thriller drama iSmart Shanker, in which young and talented actor Ram Pothineni played the lead role and the movie was turned out blockbuster at the box office. Once again Ram Pothineni has proved his power but this time on Television. ‘iSmart Shankar’ was aired on television on the occasion of the Dussehra festival. The movie ‘iSmart Shankar’ gets a thundering response in small screens and recorded career-best TRP for Ram Pothineni.
Ismart Shankar has got 16.63 TRP Rating which is excellent for mass movie and this is also one of the biggest TRP Rating movies in the Telugu Film Industry. Nowadays the movie are struggling to get decent TRP Ratings.
The satellite rights of ‘iSmart Shankar’ were bagged by the ZEE network for Rs 5 Cr. Finally the channel, Zee Telugu received 16.63 points surpassing other Telugu entertainment channels.
iSmart Shankar has two actresses Nidhhi Agerwal, and Nabha Natesh which is directed by Puri Jagannadh. The film has music by Mani Sharma. iSmart Shankar is all about the story of a street smart man who finds out that cop has embedded a sim-card in his brain.
It is jointly bankrolled by Puri Jagannadh and Charmee Kaur under the banners of Puri Connects and Puri Jagannadh Touring Talkies. iSmart Shankar collected over Rs 40+cr share and became the biggest hit in Ram Pothineni’s filmy career.
After delivering successful movie iSmart Shankar, Puri Jagannadh announced a sequel to ‘iSmart Shankar’ which is titled ‘Double iSmart’.
On the other side, Mega Power Star Ram Charan and Kiara Advani starrer Vinaya Vidheya Rama, which was directed by mass specialist Boyapati Srinu, was also telecast on TV and it got only 7.9 TRP Rating which is extremely low TRP Rating for its satellite price rate. Finally, Ram Charan starrer turned out disaster on Television also.
