Shweta Basu Prasad has decided to separate from her husband Rohit Mittal and they filed for divorce with mutual consent. National award-winning artist Shweta Basu Prasad and Rohit Mittal had tied the knot in an intimate affair on 13th December 2018, and now, in less than a year’s time, Shweta Basu Prasad has announced her separation.
Before tying the knot in 2018, Shweta Basu Prasad and Rohit Mittal had dated each other for four years. On her Instagram, the actress revealed that they have mutually decided to part ways. Makdee actress shared, ” Rohit Mittal and I have mutually decided to part our ways and end our marriage.”
Shweta Basu Prasad and Rohit Mittal had first met at Phantom films and the two had an instant connection. It was heard that filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who formerly co-owned Phantom films, actually had a hand in getting the two together.
Shweta Basu Prasad started her career as a child actress in Hindi films and TV series and went on to play lead roles in Bengali, Telugu and Tamil cinema. For her performance in the 2002 movie Makdee, she won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist. After the success on the silver screen, Shweta Basu Prasad got offers from TV series such as Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and Karishma Kaa Karishma. She has also been the part of few Telugu movies – Kotha Bangaru Lokam, Priyudu, Nuvvekkadunte Nenakkadunta. In Tollywood she was last seen in Mixture Potlam, which was released in 2017.
She was also seen in Television show like Chandra Nandini and web series Gangsters. On the big screen, Shweta Basu Prasad was last seen in Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer romantic saga ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya’. The actress will next be seen in the film Shukranu with Pyaar Ka Punchnama actor Divyendu Sharma and Vikrant Massey’s fiancee Sheetal Thakur, which are in different production stages.
