Singer Revanth aka Lolla Venkata Revanth Kumar Sarma, is known for his songs in Telugu films. He is the winner of Indian Idol season 9 in 2017. Revanth also won Rock Star, Spicy Singer on Maa TV and Superstar of the South. Recently during the media interaction Singer Revanth said that the people may think that these competitions are only for TRP ratings but it is false, it depends upon talent, hard work, positiveness and will power. Revanth further added, “ I did not know Hindi when I attended Indian Idol auditions. I got 74% voting from North Indian audiences.” According to Revanth, South Indian audiences don’t have awareness and that is the main reason, they did not vote to him and now he is not getting offers from Telugu film Industry.”
Revanth also crooned ‘Manohari’ song for SS Rajamouli’s historic and war drama Baahubali:The Beginning starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannah Bhatia, Anushaka Shetty and Ramya Krishna, for which Revanth received IIFA Utsavam and MAA Music Award nominations for best male playback singer.
Revanth added, “I know the value of money, people and hard work. I will never dare to miss anything when it comes to these three.”
Revanth also said, “I am doing Bollywood events now. My aim is to rock Bollywood one day. It is definitely not an easy journey. Even to get my first break in Tollywood, it had taken me eight long years.”
Revanth also opened up about his most memorable moments in his musical journey , he said, “I was in danger zone in first two episodes of Indian Idol. But when my mother came, that episode was the most memorable moment of my life. My mother presence gave me the inner strength and conviction. My family was my strength from the first day.
Revanth has crooned over 200 songs in Telugu and Kannada films. Revanth is popular for his work for several Telugu movies including PSV Garuda Vega, Jai Simha, Baahubali:The Beginning, Balakrishnudu, Om Namo Venkatesaya, Arjun Reddy, Srirastu Subhamastu, Supreme, Premem, Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam.
