Story: Laxman aka Lachi (Sanjay R Rao) and Maunika (Pranavi Manukonda), are deeply in love and want to get married. But priest advises Lachu that first he should marry a dog because of doshas in his horoscope. And believing this, Lachi decides to marry that dog before Maunika. But then unexpectedly a legal case is filed against Lachi. Who actually filed the case against him? Will Laxman and Maunika get married or not? Performance: The senior Tollywood actor Brahmaji’s son Sanjay impressed with his good performance in his first movie O Pitta Katha. But it must be said that in this film, he got more scope to prove himself. His story selection is also good. His emotional performance in the climax is impressive. Pranavi Manukonda also impresses with her looks in this film, including a good performance. In terms of comedy in the movie, the scenes on Yadamma Raju are interesting and hilarious. Rest of the cast including the dog also acted well.
Technical: The storyline of Slum Dog Husband is interesting. The production values are good. Srinivas J Reddy’s cinematography is good. Editing should be better. Bheems Ceciroleo’s BGM stands out. As far as the director AR Sridhar is concerned, he has chosen a good theme but if he had written a better screenplay and presented it, it would be better. Slum Dog Husband touches upon issues like human rights and LGBT representation, but lacks captivating execution
Analysis: The makers tried to touch some sensitive topics in this film Slum Dog Husband but it would have been better if it had been established more meaningfully. Also, in some places, there are many scenes that slowly bring a feeling of boredom. And with things like this, this movie doesn’t seem to be fully entertaining. Overall Slum Dog Husband is an average comedy-drama.
