The release of water from Sagar Dam has become a topic of discussion.  However, the Krishna  River Management Board (KRMB) has directed the AP government to stop water withdrawal immediately.

KRMB has written a letter to AP Govt. The letter appealed to end the tension immediately.  In the letter, KRMB clarified that they did not want AP cultivation water. KRMB said that 5.01 TMC water has already been released out of the 5 TMC ,the water requested for the month of October. It is interesting to see how the AP government will respond to this letter.

Telangana Police registered a case on Nagarjuna Sagar case. These cases were registered on the basis of the complaints given by the SPF personnel and irrigation officials about the forced entry of the AP police to the top of the Sagar Dam. A case was registered based on a complaint filed by the Telangana SPF personnel that the CC cameras were destroyed and forced entry into their territory. Telangana police have registered a case under section 447 and 427.

Tension has been going on in Nagarjuna Sagar since Wednesday night. Barricades and barbed wire fences are being set up for AP right canal till gate number 13 and water is being released. The current water level in the project has reached 520 feet. AP is releasing about 4 thousand cusecs of water from Thursday.  Both states have deployed heavy police force on both sides of the dam.
