Sukumar helps Ganta Venkata LakshmiSukumar, the director of recently released village based drama Rangasthalam, has sent Rs 1 Lakh to Ganta Venkata Lakshmi, the singer of Jigelu Rani.

Everybody is aware of that Rangasthalam, directed by talented film maker Sukumar  has turned out blockbuster at the box office and it has also crushed SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali, in several areas and created history at the box office. But recently during the media interaction, ‘Jigelu Rani’ singer Ganta Venkata Lakshmi opened up about her remuneration. She said, she feels lucky as she got the opportunity to lend her voice for the song but revealed the injustice meted out to her because of mediators. She did not get a single rupee as the remuneration of Rangasthalam song. Jigelu Rani is the  item number from ‘Rangasthalam’, which is crooned by Ganta Venkata Lakshmi and Pooja Hegde shook her legs for this item song.

On the other side,  Rangasthalam helmer Sukumar responded over the issue and according to the latest update, he sent Rs 1 Lakh  to Ganta Venkata Lakshmi as remuneration for the song.  Singer Vijaya Lakshmi thanked the Channel for its support and revealed that Sukumar has paid her a huge amount for the song recently. She  also thanked sensational music director Devi Sri Prasad and director Sukumar for giving her a new life while identifying her talent.

In her recent interview,  the singer Ganta Venkata Lakshmi also revealed that she got offers from 3 other music directors.

Ram Charan and Samantha Akkineni played the lead roles and Aadhi Pinisetty, Anausya Bharadwaj and Jagapathi Babu playing crucial role in Rangasthalam. On the work side, Sukumar’s next project will be Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu, which will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. The sources say that the makers are planning to rope Rakul Preet Singh to play the female lead.
