Icon star Allu Arjun and Kannada lady Rashmika Mandanna starrer rural drama Pushpa: The Rise was made in Telugu, but it was dubbed and released in various languages including Hindi. Helmed by Sukumar of Rangasthalam fame, it was turned out the blockbuster at the box office. Pushpa: the Rise has not only performed well in Telugu states but has also given Bollywood a run for their money. The sources say that Pushpa 2 is planned on a much bigger scale than the first part. When the first part succeeded beyond all expectations, the budget was increased and the action sequences were improved.
For Pushpa: The Rise, the creative and talented director Sukumar was paid a remuneration of Rs 18 Cr and for its sequel, he is most likely taking home a sum of whopping Rs 40 Cr.
With this remuneration, Sukumar has joined the list of very few highest paid directors that Indian cinema has.
Allu Arjun played the role of Pushpa Raj and Rashmika in the role of Srivalli. The movie also starred Dhananjay, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Harish Uthaman and Vennela Kishore in supporting roles.
Pushpa 2 is expected to go on the floor in August 2022.
