Actor and Producer Sumanth, the grandson of late Akkineni Nageswara Rao, and nephew of Nagarjuna Akkineni, appeared before a Malkapuram Magistrate Court, Prakasham District in connection with a cheque bounce case registered against him by the co-producer of his movie Naruda DONORuda. Sumanth’s sister Supriya also attended the court.
According to the latest update, the co-producers of Naruda DONORuda- John Sudheer and Pudhota have filed a cheque bounce case against Sumanth and his sister Supriya after the cheque given by Supriya (one of the producer of the film), bounced last year.
The court severed Sumanth and his sister Supriya summons to appear in the court in this case for the hearing today and the next hearing will take place on 28th June.
Naruda Donoruda- the remake of Bollywood movie Vicky Donor, which itself was a remake of 2011 Canadian movie Starbuck, was released in November 2016. On the work-side, Sumanth will be next seen in upcoming movie ‘Idham Jagath’ and ‘Subrahmanyapuram’
Idham Jagath is Sumanth’s 24th film, said to be an engrossing dark thriller set in Vizag. Sumanth will be seen playing the role of a photo journalist with some negative shades. Malayali actress Anju Kurien playing the love interest of Sumanth in this film, being produced by Jonnalagadda Padmavate and Gangapatnam Sridhar.
Subrahmanyapuram is Sumanth’s 25th movie. Said to be a mystery-thriller with an interesting supernatural element, based on the backdrop of a fictional village named Subrahmanyapuram. The film is being directed by debutant Santhossh Jagarlapudi.
