U Krishnam Raju – A well known Telugu actor of the sixties and seventies and former Union Minister of State for Defence and External Affairs died undergoing treatment following a brief illness at AIG Hospital at Gachibowli on 11th September around 3.30 am. Krishnam Raju was 83 and survived by his wife and three daughters. He went by the name `rebel star’ due to his rebellious acting style
Superstar Krishna was a close friend of the late actor Krishnam Raju. Krishna was teary-eyed as he saw Krishnam Raju for the last time. Yesterday he paid a last visit to his friend and actor Krishnam Raju despite suffering from ill health. Mahesh Babu, Trivikram Srinivas, Allu Arjun, Raghavendra Rao and others came to pay tributes to Krishnam Raju.
The late rites of Krishnam Raju will take place today at Vaikunta Mahaprasthanam with state honors. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has directed Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to conduct the last rites of Krishnam Raju with full state honours. He is a good friend to the late legend. His mortal remains have been kept at his residence in Hyderabad.
