Arjun Reddy starring the young sensation of Tollywood- Vijay Deverakonda and Payal Rajput, is a film that got a cult following in Telugu. The movie helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has received immense popularity especially from the youth. It made Vijay Devarakonda, and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga overnight stars. It was produced by Sandeep Reddy’s brother under Bhadrakali Pictures banner. But first Sandeep told the story of this movie to Swapna Dutt, the daughter of famous Tollywood producer Ashwini Dutt but she said no.
Recently during the media interaction, Swapna Dutt said that Sandeep told her the story of Arjun Reddy first, but she did not have the courage to make the story into a film. She said that now she is regretting that decision.
Swapna Dutt added, “If Arjun Reddy’s film was a flop, people would have criticized why a woman had to produce such a film. That’s why I didn’t have the courage. I regret that decision now. I also didn’t find the story very interesting at that time.”
She expressed satisfaction about her journey in cinema so far. According to her, she has learned a lot from her failures. She said that the taste of success is due to failure.
