Veere Di Wedding, the woman centric movie starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Shikha Talsania and Swara Bhasker, was released on 1st June 2018, is receiving praise and criticism both. According to the traders report, Veere Di Wedding has become the third highest Bollywood grosser on an opening weekend in 2018.

After first few hours of its release, the Twitter was flooded with some serious and ugly messages. The viewers are criticizing the actresses- Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Shikha Talsania and Swara Bhasker for promoting vulgarity.
A section of trolls on Twitter have slammed Swara Bhasker for her masturabation scene, claiming that they went to watch the movie with their grandmothers, who were ashamed.
Number of netizens took to twitter and made the same tweets, “Hey @ReallySwara just watched #VeereDiWedding with my grandmother. We got embarrassed when that masturabation scene came on screen. as we came out of the theater my grandmother said I’m hindustan and i am ashamed of #VeereDiWedding (sic).”
One of Swara Bhasker’s fan Rahul Pandita came in support and tweeted, “Why are so many sanskari people watching #VeereDiWedding with their grandmothers?”
Swara Swara Bhasker responded, “Looks like a certain IT cell sponsored the tickets – or definitely the tweets !!!!” The actress again tweeted, “I wish paid trolls would at the very least re-arrange the sentences and run a spell check before their paid tweet attacks #PaidTrollsKiPolKhulGayi #SakshiSlays.”
