Takkar Movie Review : Siddharth, Yogi Babu, Abhimanyu Singh, Divyansha Kaushik and others starrer action drama Takkar, helmed by Karthik G Krish has hit the theaters today on 9th June. Let’s see the story of Takkar.

Story:  Gunz (Siddharth), is a poor young man who wants to earn money by any means.  After trying his hands at various jobs, he ends up becoming a cab driver. There is also a gang that earns money by indulging in all anti-social activities. They kidnap young girls for money and sell them off to s…ual predators.   The story is about what are the consequences and what complications does Gunz face.

 Plus Points:

·         Siddharth

·         Performance

·         First Half

 Minus Points:

·         Second half

·         Weak villain

·         Songs

·         Comedy

Performance: It is not surprising that those who go to the cinema for Siddharth will have a variety of experiences. Siddharth acted excitedly in bed scenes and lip lock scenes with heroine Divyansha. It must be said that Siddharth’s bold scenes with her are mind-blowing. His screen presence impressed the audience. Divyansha Kaushik who is playing the role of Lucky, delivers her best but she  doesn’t have much scope to perform. Yogi Babu is fine. Abhimanyu Singh plays the villain. Rest of the cast are ok

Technical: Coming on the work of Director Karthik G Krish’s intention to tell us a tale about two people with different perspectives on money and life is quite interesting. Karthik G Krish’s direction and Nivas’s music did not add anything to the film. Nira Nira song that appears in the pre-climax elevates the mood. The cinematography could have been better.  Editing is just ok.

Analysis:  While the film Takkar  has some strong performances, particularly from Siddharth, the writing fails to deliver a compelling story. Although the first half of this movie is watchable to some extent, the second half is boring. After watching the first half,  If you think that the second half will be even better, you are wrong. The villain role in the story is especially not convincing.

The first half is full of dull scenes and over-the-top action blocks. Comedy in the second half, which is meant to provide some levity, falls flat. There are  more action scenes in this movie,  along with mafia background scenes.
