Prasanth Varma is going to replace Neelakanta Reddy as the director of the Telugu version Queen remake, in which milky beauty Tamannah Bhatia is playing the female lead.
Prasanth Varma is on the board to helm the Telugu remake of Bollywood blockbuster movie ‘Queen’ in which Baahubali fame Tamannah Bhatia is playing the female lead. Earlier Neelakanta Reddy was helming this remake, which is titled as Queen Once Again, but he walked away from the project a few months away. Now According to the latest update, Prasanth Varma is going to direct Tamannah Bhatia starrer Queen Once Again.
Prasanth Varma is the new addition to the list of engineers turned directors. He made his first short film Deenamma Jeevitham when YouTube videos were not going viral. Later Prasanth Varma made shorts movies like Dialogue in the Dark and The Silent Melody. These shorts and ad films brought Prasanth Varma closer to the film industry.
Prasanth Varma’s previous offering Awe starring Kajal Aggarwal, Nithya Menen, Regina Cassandra, Eesha Rebba, Srinivas Avasarala, Priyadarshi Pullikonda and Murali Sharma, was decent hit at the box office and it was produced by Natural Star Nani. After the success of Awe, Prasanth Varma was flooding with exciting offers, among which Queen remake is one. Finally the talented director has said yes to producer Manu Kumaran, who is bankrolling this Queen remake. The sources say that the producer Manu Kumaran believes that the directorial skills of Prasanth Varma will do justice to this woman centric movie.
The film unit of Queen remake wants to wrap up the shoot as soon as possible. As Tamannah Bhatia is also busy in her other projects, she is not able to allot the dates, so taking into consideration Tamannah Bhatia’s limited availability, the film unit is planning to wrap up the shoot of a major portion of this upcoming remake in a 30-day non-stop schedule.
The sources say that even though the creative and talented director Prasanth Varma was planning to helm a big budget film with another top actor, he was happy to come onboard Queen Once Again. An official confirmation is awaited regarding this.
Queen Once Again is produced under the banner of Mediente International Films Ltd and Liger Commercial Brokers, whereas the music is scored by Amit Trivedi. Apart from Tamannah Bhatia, the upcoming comedy drama Queen Once Again, has other stars like Sanjay Swaroop, Jagapathi Babu and Priyardshi Pullikonda in supporting roles.
On the other-side, Tamannah Bhatia will be next seen in upcoming multilingual movie ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ starring Megastar Chiranjeevi, directed by Surender Reddy and produced by Ram Charan.
