Telangana government has announced a two days holiday for educational institutions in the wake of heavy rains. On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of heavy rains across Telangana.

All educational institutions in Telangana have declared holidays today and tomorrow. In view of the heavy rains, holidays have been declared for educational institutions in the state. To this extent, Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy gave the details via her Twitter account.

Due to the influence of low pressure, there has been heavy rains across the state for two to three days. There is a situation where people are not coming out in many areas. The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy to very heavy rains for the next four days. Warnings have been issued to many districts. Heavy rains are likely to occur in some eastern districts, north-eastern districts, northern districts as well as its surrounding districts like Siddipet, Warangal, Jayashankar Bhupalapalli, Mulugu, Karimnagar, Pedapalli and surrounding areas.

Yellow alerts have been issued for Hyderabad, Jagityala, Janagam, Medchal Malkajigiri, Rangareddy, Sangareddy, Vikarabad, Warangal and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri districts. Orange alerts have been issued for Bhadradri Kotta Gudem, Jayashankar, Karimnagar, Manchiryala, Mulugu, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Rajanna Sirisilla and Siddipet districts.
