Warangal Kakatiya Medical College suspended seniors for ragging a junior student. After the victim student lodged a complaint with the anti-ragging cell, the responding authorities took immediate action. The committee which investigated the complaint of the victim student concluded that the seniors in KMC were involved in ragging on the juniors.

The seven medical students who were responsible for the ragging incident were suspended for three months. The decision was taken by denying them permission to enter the dormitory for a year. The anti-ragging committee members of the college met on Tuesday under the chairmanship of KMC Principal Dr. Mohandas and took these decisions.

On the 14th of this month, a senior MBBS student from Rajasthan who was going to the hostel after studying in the college library till midnight was stopped by a senior student.

When the junior student tried to bring him good water, he refused. The victim complained to the police yesterday that he was brought to the notice of the seniors and attacked him along with them. He stated that he was injured so badly that he was hospitalized.

After a complaint was lodged with the ragging cell about this incident, the authorities started an investigation. Principal Dr. Mohandas said that after examining the CCTV footage, if it is found that there is a role of others in the attack, action will be taken against them as well.
