Renowned actor Chandra Mohan has passed away today. Chandra Mohan succumbed to cardiac arrest at Hyderabad Apollo Hospital at 9:45 a.m. while receiving treatment. He is 82 years old and is survived by his wife Jalandhara and two daughters. The funeral of Chandra Mohan will be held in Hyderabad on Monday.
Chandra Mohan’ real name is Mallampally Chandrasekhar Rao. Born on May 23, 1945, his hometown is Pamidimukkala, Krishna district. Chandramohan entertained the audience by acting in many films in the Telugu film industry.
Chandra Mohan has garnered one Filmfare Award South and 2 Nandi Awards. He received critical reception for his performance in box office hits such as Rangula Ratnam in 1966 for which he received the state Nandi Award for Best Actor, Padaharella Vayasu in 1978 for which he won the Filmfare Best Actor Award (Telugu), and Siri Siri Muvva in 1978. He made his debut in Kollywood with the movie Naalai Namadhe, which was released in 1975. He is best known for playing the lead role in Seetamalakshmi, Ram Robert Rahim, Radha Kalyanam, Rendu Rellu Aaru, and Chandamama Raave.
