TV actor Pearl V Puri, who’s known for TV shows like “Naagin 3” and “Bepanah Pyaar” was arrested on Friday night after a five years old girl and her family filed a complaint against him for raping and molesting her around two years ago. Puri was booked by Mira Bhayander Vasai Virar police, invoking the charges of IPC Sec. According to the latest report, Pearl V Puri has been sent to judicial custody by Vasai court. Now the actress Anita Hassanandani, who is known for acting in Telugu movies Nuvvu Nenu, Ninne Ishtapaddanu, Thotti Gang, Aadanthe Ado Type, Aha Naa Pellanta, has come in the support of Pearl V Puri.
Pearl V Puri has got support from the entertainment industry who have taken to social media sites to defend the Naagin actor. Anita Hassanandani and Ekta Kapoor among others have shared posts for Puri. Anita Hassanandani dismissed the reports calling them nonsensical.
Anita Hassanandani took to her Instagram to share a photograph with Pearl V Puri and said that it can not be true, adding that ‘truth will be out soon’.
Mumbai Police arrested Pearl in Vasai. The police issued a statement saying that the rape incident is old but after the minor filed a complaint a rape and molestation case was registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
