Now according to the latest report, Gorantla Rajendra Prasad (86), a senior producer of Tollywood, passed away due to illness. His death gave a huge shock to Tollywood. Rajendra Prasad breathed his last this morning after a prolonged illness, as per his family members. Several Tollywood celebrities are in shock after learning about Rajendra Prasad’s demise, and they are praying for the departed soul.
He started the banner Madhavi Pictures and produced films like Kurukshetram, Dora Babu, Suputrudu, and Atagadu. Also, he worked as a co-producer for many movies with the late senior producer D Ramanaidu. Together they funded few movies such as Ramudu Bheemudu in 1963 with NTR. They jointly also funded Pratijna Reign, Shri Krishna Tulabharam, Stri Janma and Jeevan Waves. After that, Rajenda Prasad set up a production company – Madhavi Pictures. His most of the production ventures were blockbuster.
Some of his superhit Telugu films include Dorababu with ANR and Manjula, Suputrudu with ANR and Lakshmi, Kurukshetra and Player’. Most of the films produced by Rajendra Prasad are blockbuster hits.
