Young hero Sundeep Kishan has been going through a rough phase in his career. All his recent films turned out to be loss ventures for him and bogged his career down. Lastly, Sundeep Kishan’s thriller Ninu Veedanu Needanu Nene turned out to be an OK venture for him. But he is in need of a super hit to bring his career back on track. For this, he has pinned all his hopes on Tenali Ramakrishna BA BL which was directed by G Nageswara Reddy. The film got released last weekend and the response is lukewarm while the collections are minimal.
While the film is turning out to be the disaster it has already turned super hit for the producer. Let us see how it happened. Tenali Ramakrishna was made with a budget of 5 crores, the film has been sold for a sum of 4 crores. That means for the distributors and exhibitors to be safe the film has to collect more than 4 crores. Satellite and digital rights have been sold for 3 crores to Star Maa. Another 3 crores have been acquired for Hindi and Tamil dubbing rights. That means the film has done a total business of 10 crores. This also means that producers have got double profits before the release.
Now looking at the theatrical collection the film has collected 1.5 crores share to date and already has seen huge drops on Monday. By the end of closing, Tenali Ramakrishna will collect close to 2 crores at maximum. This also means distributors and other involved third parties will lose 50 percent of their investments. Will producers compensate from their profits to all losing parties is to be seen. But one thing is for sure, Tenali Ramakrishna is another disappointing venture for Sandeep Kishan who is looking for a solid hit.
