There is tension in Motinagar, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad regarding the installation of the statue of legendary actor and former Chief Minister NTR. In an attempt to commemorate the NTR Centenary celebrations, a statue of NTR was installed in Motinagar. But, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation GHMC officials said that there is no permission to set up the statue.
With that, there was a tense atmosphere as GHMC officials along with police were deployed to the incident site to remove the statue of NTR. Meanwhile, the local TDP leaders accused MLA Maganti Gopinath of removing the statue of NTR by conspiracy. He expressed his anger on Maganti saying that NTR’s statue had been removed twice in the past.
Removal of TDP founder and former chief minister N T Rama Rao’s statue at Motinagar created a tense atmosphere. As GHMC officials and police arrived there to remove the statue, heavy police force was deployed to prevent any untoward incidents.
