National award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut is currently busy in her prestigious project Thalaivi. Now according to the latest update, the digital rights of Thalaivi have been sold finally.  It is being heard that Kangana Ranaut starrer Thalaivi has been sold for a whopping amount of Rs 55 crore for an OTT platform.  The sources say that two giant OTT market leaders in India have acquired the rights Hindi version of Thalaivi will be released on Netflix and the Tamil version will be out on Amazon Prime.

Thalaivi revolves around the late actress and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalithaa’s political journey, and the excitement for this film is already touching the sky. Recently during the media interaction, when Kangana Ranaut was asked if she is in favor of OTT releases or against it, to which she said, “It depends. For example, a movie like Thalaivi just can’t release on digital because it is such a massive scale film, neither a movie like Manikarnika is a digital space film, but yes movies like Panga, Judgemental Hai Kya also cater to that audience. The way the movie is made, it is very digital-friendly. They have recovered the huge costs through digital itself. So, it depends.”

The film Thalaivi is sold out to both Netflix and Amazon in both Hindi and Tamil for around Rs 55 crore. Vijay is helming it and it has Arvind Swamy, Madhubala, and Samuthirakani in crucial characters.
