After a long gap of 10 years, the Tamil Nadu urban local body polls are being held today in a single phase. Voting starts at 7 am and it will end at 6 pm. According to the latest report, Tamil star Thalapathy Vijay cast his vote for the Local Body Elections which are currently going on in Chennai. Master actor Vijay came to the location – school Neelankarai to vote, heavy crowds and media mobbed to get a glimpse of the actor, that also caused inconvenience to the general public. After noticing this, the Kollywood star immediately stood right around the crowd and he apologized to everyone with folded hands. The actor’ kind gesture has surfaced on the internet and it is winning hearts.
The main parties in the fray include the ruling DMK- Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, opposition AIADMK – All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, BJP- Bharitya Janatha Party and MNM- Makkal Needhi Maiam.
The reports are coming that of AIADMK members are distributing cash to the voters at ward 179 in Singaravelan Nagar in the Tiruvanmaiyur area , Chennai and currently the police is investigating it.
On the work front, Vijay will be seen sharing the screen space with Pooja Hegde in an upcoming much hyped movie Beast.
