Theatrical Business Details of ‘Sitaramam’ and ‘Bimbisara’

Sita Ramam and Bimbisara released on August 5 and became blockbusters. They gave hope to Tollywood which has been struggling for two months without a single hit. Both the films gave double the profits to the buyers. And now you may have a doubt as to what is for the producers. But the budget for these films is Rs. 45 crores.

But for Bimbisara hero Kalyan Ram, Dulquer, the hero of Sita Ramam, does not have that much market. So the budget was put in a double margin. Theatrical business was also Rs. 16 crores and Rs. 17 crores. In other places, the producers have done their own release. The non-theatrical rights were not sold before the release.

No matter how much the budget is given for star hero movies… finally depending on their image, the market will be good for it. But Sita Ramam and Bimbisara are risky projects for producers. But in terms of theatrical rights, 70 percent are safe. With the release of the movies and the blockbuster talk, Amazon Prime Video (Sita Ramam) and Zee5 (Bimbisara) have acquired the rights at fancy rates.

It seems that a total of Rs.55 crores has been collected. However, these two blockbuster movies have recovered Rs.75 crore including dubbing rights and audio rights. So, even though the market for the heroes of these films is limited, it can be said that they have done justice to the budget of Rs.45 crores.
