Recently it was reported that Karan Johar has announced an upcoming project ‘Brahmastra, this fantasy adventure trilogy, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, which will be helmed by Ayan Mukerji and will hit the screens on 15th August 2019 on the occasion of Independence day.
Now according to the latest update, TV actress Mouni Roy, who is popular for serial Naagin, has been roped in this upcoming film to play villain. The sources say that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s characters will be romantically linked whereas Mouni will have “shades of grey” . She will play villain in the first part.” The makers of the film have planned to go extra mile to give Mouni Roy a spine-chilling look with the help of VFX. Karan Johar of Dharma Productions, who distributed the Hindi version of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali in the North Indian market, is planning to break the record of Baahubali with ‘Brahmastra’.
Preparations for Brahmastra has begun already but thefilm is yet to go on floors. If everything will go accordingly, Brahmastra will be Mouni Roy’s second Bollywood film because she’s making her Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar starrer Gold already. She will be seen playing Akshay Kumar’s wife in Gold.
