Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s Tiger Nageswara Rao movie has come to OTT even a month after its theatrical release. This movie is releasing on Amazon Prime OTT from Friday. Tiger Nageswara Rao was released in OTT as Salient without any prior promotion. Amazon Prime announced that streaming is available in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages.
As a Dussehra gift, Tiger Nageswara Rao was released in theaters on October 20 amid huge expectations. Being Ravi Teja’s first biopic movie, Tiger Nageswara Rao’s pre-release business was also huge as he entered the pan-Indian market with this movie. But Tiger Nageswara Rao could not impress the audience due to the lack of interest in the story, the entertainment that fans wanted from Ravi Teja, and the lack of mass elements. It was a commercial failure.
Released in Telugu with a pre-release business target of around Rs 36, this movie collected less than Rs 15 crores. This big budget movie which was a huge box office hit in Telugu turned out to be a disaster in other languages. Nupur Sanon and Gayatri Bharadwaj played the female lead in Tiger Nageswara Rao movie.
Director Vamsi helmed this movie based on the life of Tiger Nageswara Rao, a gangster of Stuartpuram who ran riot in the Telugu states in the 1970-80s. Anupam Kher and Renu Desai played key roles in Tiger Nageswara Rao.
