After delivering back to back commercially flop movies, the young actor Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas scored a hit with Rakshasudu, which was helmed by Ramesh Varma. Anupama Parameswaran essayed the female lead in this film. Bellamkonda starrer Rakshasudu is the official remake of the 2018 Tamil film Ratsasan.  The movie Rakshasudu was made on the budget of Rs 16 Cr and the movie earned Rs 28 Cr at the box office. Happy with the profits from Rakshasudu and Ramesh Varma’  work, producer Satyanarayana has apparently gifted a costly flat to the director.

Ramesh Varma’ first film was Preminchukundam Raa, which was released in 1998. Ramesh Varma was also a publicity designer for the films Narasimhanaidu, Tagore, Jalsa, Robo, and the Bollywood movies such as Kuch Tum Kaho Kuch Hum Kahein, and Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain.

Ramesh Varma has also produced  few films such as Mallepuvvu, Jaffa (2013), Abbayitho Ammay, and 7. Now he is busy  in the script work of his next upcoming directorial venture in which Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja will play the lead role.

 Currently Ramesh Varma is in the hunt of female lead for his upcoming magnum opus . The sources say that the makers are planning to rope either Bollywood beauty  Pooja Hegde or Kiara Advani in this film to play the female lead.
