Tollywood film director Surya Kiran is no more

The child actor-turned-director Surya Kiran breathed his last in his Chennai home on March 11 due to jaundice complications. The 48-year-old had been undergoing treatment at GEM hospital in Chennai. He is predominantly known for his works like the movies, Satyam and Dhana 51. Of course, Satyam film was his directorial debut in 2003. Also, the film attained a remarkable fame in the Tollywood industry.

Surya Kiran began his career as a child actor and he appeared in over two hundred films. His directing career led him to another success path with his next directorial Dhana 51, which features Sumanth in the lead role. Later, he also directed other flicks such as Brahmastram, Raju Bhai and Chapter 6 respectively.

He was married to actor Kalyani Kaveri and divorced after a while. His latest film titled Arasi is all set for its release. It features Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead role. Recently in an interview, the late director said that he was joining hands with actor Saptagiri for his desired project and the film is set to begin production soon. Surya Kiran also participated in the gigantic reality show Bigg Boss Telugu 4.
