Small budget movie Balagam was the biggest hit of this year. Taking a point that is a part of Telangana culture and running it with comedy all the way to tears at the end, director Venu Yeldandi delivered a blockbuster hit. Venu, a super successful comedian turned director, produced this film along with Dil Raju and his daughter.
This film Balagam was made with a low budget, and collected Rs 25 crores gross. The budget of this film was less than Rs 4 crores. Balagam also won many international awards. Meanwhile, the Telangana government has given a rare honor to Balagam movie.
