A good news for the people of Telugu states! There is a possibility that super fast trains will be available between Shamshabad-Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam and Kurnool-Vijayawada. The Railway Department, which has started working in this direction, has recently allowed the Preliminary Engineering and Traffic (PET) survey. After the survey, the Railway Department will take the final decision on sanctioning these projects. If the Shamshabad-Vijayawada train becomes available, the travel time between the Telugu states will be further reduced. Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy recently explained the importance of these projects to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav.

Currently, the maximum speed of trains on the main routes of Telugu states is 110-150 km per hour, while the maximum speed of trains between Shamshabad-Vijayawada and Kurnool-Vijayawada is 220 km per hour. For this, new lines are to be constructed. In order to determine the route, PET has also selected a contractor for the survey. The Railway Department is also getting ready to run a large number of Vande Bharat trains to various parts of the country through the Telugu states.

The Railway authorities have been instructed to conduct the necessary surveys to enhance connectivity between these regions.
