Varun Tej and Pooja Hegde starrer Valmiki has completed the censor formalities and has received U/A certificate from the Censor board and finally, it is gearing up for grand release on 20th September 2019. Valmiki is a remake of Jigarthanda and it is directed by Harish Shankar. Varun Tej is playing the role of Bobby Simha in Valmiki. Apart from Mega Prince, the film also has Kollywood star Atharvaa and Mrinalini in the lead role. The run time of Valmiki is locked at 168 minutes, 4 minutes longer than the original. The original Tamil movie’s run time was 164:33 minutes.
Pooja Hegde’s song is said to one of the major highlights of Valmiki. Recently during the media interaction, Harish Shankar said, “ While Jigarthanda had only one heroine, an extra role has been created for the Telugu version and Aravinda Sametha fame Pooja Hegde was roped in. Mirnalini Ravi is playing Atharvaa’s love interest. There is very little action and more entertainment.”
Varun Tej has gone for a complete makeover to get Gaddalakonda Ganesh’s look. Pooja Hegde is playing village belle in Valmiki, which is bankrolled by Gopi Achanta and Ram Achanta under 14 reels Productions whereas it has the music by Mickey J Meyer.
