Starring Young Tiger Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in lead roles, RRR, the Telugu action-period drama helmed by SS Rajamouli, bankrolled by DVV Danayya under the banner of DVV Entertainment, has a whopping budget of Rs 400 crores. Ram Charan who played the role of Indian revolutionary Alluri Sitarama Raju had been paid around Rs 45 crore for this film. Jr NTR who essayed the role of another revolutionary leader named Komaram Bheem, who rebelled against the Nizam of Hyderabad, was paid Rs 45 crore. A popular English media house ‘Variety’ predicted that RRR would make a big noise at the Oscars in the following categories.

The movie RRR is in the top 5 in the Best International Feature and Best Original Song categories, in Variety’s predictions. If Rajamouli’ magnum opus RRR makes an official entry to the Oscars, it would be a proud moment for Telugu film Industry.
