TDP and its alliance partner, JSP on February 24 announced the first list of 118 candidates. While the Telugu Desam Party announced the names of contestants for 94 Assembly constituencies, the Jana Sena Party did so for five of the 24 constituencies it would contest. The Telugu Desam Party renominated 13 of its 22 incumbent MLAs. Jana Sena announced just 5 candidates. Surprisingly Pawan Kalyan’s name is missing from the first list and the reports are coming that Naga Babu would get a ticket.
In the backdrop, Mega Hero Varun Tej, the son of Naga Babu made some interesting comments. Varun Tej said, that as a responsible citizen, there is a need to take a stand based on the belief system. When Mega Prince was asked about politics and whether he would campaign for his father who is expected to get a ticket, to Ghani actor replied that he would campaign for his father Naga Babu and he did it earlier too. Accepting that his family is into politics, he said that one needs to have an understanding of the candidates.
On the work front, Varun Tej will be seen next in Pan-India action thriller Operation Valentine, which is gearing up for the grand release very soon.
