Mega Prince Varun Tej got introduced to Tollywood with the movie Mukunda which was directed by Srikanth Addala. Though the movie is an average grosser, Varun Tej has been praised for his acting and since then there is no looking back for this young hero. Now it looks like the mega hero is teaming up with this director once again. Srikanth Addala has struggled for years after the release of Brahmotsavam. He sat idle with no movie for about 3 years. Now he is directing the remake of Asuran titled Naarappa with Venkatesh in the lead role. Shooting of this flick is going at a brisk pace. Makers are looking to release the movie in the month of May.
After this movie, if the latest reports are to be believed, Srikanth Addala will direct Varun Tej. 14 reels plus will produce this entertainer, if at all it happens. 14 reels plus had another commitment with Varun Tej after Gaddalakonda Ganesh and the production house is keen to make it happen soon.
Varun Tej is currently preparing for the lead role in a boxing based sports drama. Shooting of this film will start very soon and it will release in the second half of 2020.
